I made the conversion tonight from an applet to a application that displays information in the notification area. It was a quick conversion. Python lets me play around with UI issues quickly. Hopefully, other than getting a real icon, this will be the last changes for a while to the exterior UI. Now I have to spend a lot of time getting the alerts window into what I think it should be.

Sorry for the huge hiatus, with graduating and other issues, I've been away from it for a while. Work is starting up again and I have someone helping me with Informant now. We're examining it at a more fundamental level and a lot is being changed in the process. I'm confident we can have something that will be generally useful in a few weeks. I'll keep updates here.
